Customized Industrial Liners

Although Everything Ponds is most commonly known for pond and lake liners, industrial liners are another industry we frequently service. Common applications include water retention containment, underground stormwater containment, electrical substations, algae harvesting operations, tank liners, cable ski parks, or any other situation where you need to contain water or prevent water vapor transmission.

Materials - RPE (Reinforced Polyethylene)

When it comes to industrial applications, our liner of choice is the Premium RPE Liner. Not only is RPE strong, lightweight, and long-lasting, but it is also heat-weldable. This means we can create custom-sized liners specifically for your project in single or multiple panels. In fact, we have made liners as large as 60,000 square feet in a single piece. What this means for your project is that you can likely get a single piece of liner as large as you need, so that no seaming on site is necessary. Combine that with a warranty that guarantees 20+ years of use if installed properly, and RPE is pretty hard to pass up. RPE is also approved for use with many other compounds such as diesel and gas.

Materials - EIA

Our extra-strength EIA liner is an upgraded product from RPE, suitable for situations where extra chemical resistance or additional strength is needed. For instance, when creating secondary containment structures for mineral oil, an EIA liner is a preferable option compared to RPE. EIA is not only more resistant to chemical degradation but also boasts enhanced strength and puncture resistance. Although both liners are NSF-61 certified, indicating their approval for holding human drinking water, the EIA liner is much more bendable and flexible to work with, despite being double the strength of RPE. Our Most Popular Liners

Box-Welded Tank Liners - Polypropylene or EIA Industrial Liners

Flat sheets of liner are ideal for situations where you’re covering a large area like a pond, lake, or underneath something flat, such as a concrete slab. But what if you’re trying to fit a liner into an existing tank or containment structure? That’s where box-welded liners come into play. Box-welding is a technique where we take flat sheets of liner and heat weld them into 3D shaped inserts that can easily be dropped into rectangular or cylindrical structures. The result is a perfectly fitting liner insert that exactly matches the size and shape of the structure it’s placed in. There are no folds or pleats as would be present if using a flat sheet of RPE liner. Since each liner is custom-made at the time of order, we can create nearly any size needed. These box-welded liners are available in two different materials: our standard polypropylene liner or the extra-strength EIA liner. The EIA liner is about twice as strong as the polypropylene and is also more chemically resistant. Contact us for a recommendation and quote on your particular project.

Conclusion

As with pond and lake liners, when choosing among the various industrial liners available, there are a few things to keep in mind: strength, weight, ease of installation, chemical resistance, and UV resistance. The RPE liner is the most commonly chosen because it meets the broadest range of these requirements. In situations where extra chemical resistance is required, that’s when we often move up to the EIA liner.
