What are the steps to determine what size of liner I need?

Find the longest and widest points in the pond. For each dimension, start at one edge of the pond, measure down the slope, across the bottom, back up the other slope to the other side. Then add 2 feet per side (4 feet total) for anchoring the liner, and because you do not want to install your liner too tight. Once you do that for both the length and width, you will have the size of liner you need to order.

Example: For a pond 5x 10, with a depth of 2 feet deep, would be 2 feet down + 5 feet across + 2 feet back up + 4 feet for anchoring the liner, equalling 13 feet. For the other dimension you would measure 2 feet down + 10 feet across + 2 feet back up + 4 feet for anchoring, equalling 18 feet. Therefore you would order a 13x 18liner. For budgeting purposes we have a Liner Size Calculator - Everything-Ponds.com, but we always suggest physically measuring prior to placing an order.
