Professional Quality Filters

The Evolution Aqua K+ Filters (formerly called K1 Mico Bead Filters) are professional quality filters designed for ponds with demanding filtration needs such koi or swimming ponds.

What’s different about the K+ Advanced filters is the included blower system. Instead of only relying on moving water to clean the filter, the air blower blows compressed air through the filter to save water and clean more thoroughly during backwashing. All models include a 10” clear viewing dome for easy inspection of the filter media.

K+ Media

Rather than using traditional beads as a filter media, the K+ Advanced filter uses the K+ media designed to provide maximum surface area for beneficial bacteria colonization.

How the K+ Filter Works

Water is pumped into the filter from the pond using a submersible or external pump. Water enters the filter through the multi-port valve, which sends water into the bottom of the filter. As the water travels upwards inside the filter, it passes through the filtration media, which traps dirt and debris. Beneficial bacteria in the media also provides important biological filtration, which removes ammonia from dirty pond water.

*** The K+PF14000 and the K+PF24000 ship by truck freight, which requires somebody be available to deliver. Freight company will call for an appointment before delivery.

NOTE: some photos still show the K1 Micro Bead media but all filters have been changed over to the K+ media.
