A pondless waterfall is a low maintenance way of adding a water feature to your landscape. They require less equipment, are quicker to install and can be converted to a pond later on. The AquaBlox structure of the pondless waterfall makes the feature sturdy enough for animals and people to step on, allowing you to get up close to the feature.

Design to create a stream 6'-7' long. Will pump between 2251 - 1390 gallons per hour depending on waterfall design.

Order of Installation

  1. Determine the layout of your pond
  2. Dig out basin, use extra dirt to create a higher elevation for your waterfall stream
  3. Layout the pump vault and aquablox to determine the length/width of your basin, mark out this area.
  4. Dig out the basin so that the pump vault sits lower than the aquablox
  5. Create a waterfall channel
  6. Create a path for the piping to run up to the waterfall
  7. Ensure the basin is level
  8. Place underlayment and liner in basin and waterfall
  9. Place AquaBlox side by side 
  10. Add pump vault in the deeper part of the basin
  11. Add pump and triton check valve into the pump vault
  12. Connect the pipe to check valve through a pre-drilled hole in pump vault 
  13. Run piping up the waterfall
  14. Waterfall: cut percise hole in the liner, remove fitting on the back of the waterfall, secure liner to the waterfall (use instruction manual provided to create a watertight seal) connect pipe to  2" MPT x 2" Slip and then into waterfall
  15. Secure liner using rocks and backfill, make the waterfall blend into the landscape using various plants, dirt and decor
  16. Completely cover the AquaBlox with your choice of rocks to conceal the basin
  17. Disguise the pump vault using a removable rock
  18. Add lights to enjoy your water feature at night
  19. Fill water basin
  20. Turn on pump
  21. Clean stream as needed, keep weed free
  22. Use a water treatment to treat any algae build up
