NOTE: This tape is not meant for seaming two liners together. For full liner seams, we recommend heat-welding the liner, or letting us custom make the size/shape of liner you need. Also, the tape installs easier and more reliably in warmer temperatures (ie, will not stick as well in freezing temps).
Our high quality 4" Single-Sided RPE Liner tape is an option when heat welding with a hot air gun might be impractical. With RPE liners, the best way to seam the liner is with a hot air gun, which will actually melt the two layers of liner together. However, sometimes a faster and easier solution is needed, which is when we use the RPE tape. Do you have a small hole or puncture in the liner? Often times placing a piece of tape over top of the damaged area is enough to stop the leak. Alternatively a 12" x 12" patch of RPE liner can be taped down to preform a repair. Our double-sided tape can be used in the seam between the patch and the main liner, with a layer of single-sided tape overtop for double protection.
In order for the tape to work, all surfaces must be very clean with no debirs or dirt.
