Can you create a liner for a chest freezer?
The main challenge often encountered is accommodating the compressor box-out in the freezer. While we can't build the box-out into the liner itself, a workable solution is to use our more flexible EIA liner. This liner can be pushed around the box-out to fit snugly. It may be a little bunchy around the compressor, but it will remain water-tight. The liner itself is NSF-61 certified, which means it is safe for holding drinking water.
Another option is to buy a large enough freezer that allows you to use wood to frame out a perfect rectangle inside the freezer, eliminating the step. This way, you have a perfect rectangle to install the liner.
